Open Settings from the sidebar

Settings link in the left sidebar menu, which expands to reveal sub-menu options including Canned Responses

Navigate to Canned Responses in Settings

Clicking the Canned Responses menu item in the settings sidebar, opening a table of pre-written reply templates with short codes

Click Add Canned Response to open the form

Clicking the Add Canned Response button in the top-right corner, opening a modal form with Short Code and Message fields

Click the Short Code field

The Short code input field highlighted with a blue focus border, ready for text entry

Type a short code for your canned response

Deselect the Short code field

Type your canned response message
